Thank you all for the favs and for watching me. As you might noticed already, I am not so talklative, so you won't receive many comments from me. That's because I don't think that we should transform deviantArt into "Myspace" or "Hi5" or similar.
The following text is copy/pasted and edited from the journal of
Artists need to be able to create their art without feeling guilty,
and to have the time to view other wonderful art AND maybe occasionally make a sane comment.
No one needs to agree with or follow any of the things laid out here.
These are policies adopted already by MANY an artist.
And this text is a compilation of many other peoples words and feelings as well!
If you are severely offended by it?
Remove me from your watch list-I will totally understand...
1- Please consider that I DO NOT NEED to be thanked for everything!
Especially when I fave and run!
If you are behind, sick, etc,
I'd rather you spend your time and energy-
getting well,
restoring whatever order you need in your world,
furthering YOUR art,
and THEN faving or commenting on a work of mine!
(fave and runs are fine-I am a chronic as far as doing those goes!)
I KNOW you are all nice, polite people,
and that you appreciate all the comments/favs/DA love you get!
2- I will occasionally thank people in the message section on the profile page!
I saw somewhere out there in DA journal land, that it was even considered spam by some!
I would more personally prefer to try, at least once a month,
to note you and thank you for any/all images that you faved/commented on in the past month.
It will be sincere!
I do NOT forget thoughtfulness!
(I just can't remember anything else!)
3- I will not say, "You're welcome", or "My pleasure", if you do thank me.
I'm not rude and was not born in a barn, nor raised in a pig yard.
Just PLEASE know, that it IS my genuine pleasure or personal opinion in commenting on your work and faving it.
You are the ones that color my world and feed my soul!!!
4-If you have a specific question or comment that you would like me to respond to?
PLEASE NOTE ME!
How many of you have too many messages/questions that get lost in your messages list,
because so many come in and the questions get buried and you can never find them again-
or when you do find them- too much time has passed for time sensitive issues?
Some of us really do enjoy helping folks but sometimes we're a bit slow!
5-If you add me to your watch-I will watch you back!!
No one needs to agree with me!
I LOVE thanking people and commenting!
This is about REDUCED THANKING!
NOT no thanking!!!!
I will STILL say thanks when there is an especially great comment.
And I often will scatter emotes, hugs, and love, when on a dead run!
This is NOT about stopping comments. I will still make comments when time or mood allows.
(And yes, I am one of those guilty of the Chronic Fave and Run Syndrome-and I am working on that!!)
This is about having MORE time to view YOUR work and comment.
This is actually about HAVING TIME TO CREATE ART- isn't that why we are here?
DISCLAIMER!
THIS IS A PERSONAL POLICY-
NOT A POLICY ENDORSED OR WRITTEN BY DEVIANT ART!
If you personally do not support it- I respect that!
Just please- no hate propaganda!
Harrassers will be reported.
Anyone is invited to comment as much as he/she like on my gallery or my profile.
